Julieta Arco
Concept-driven Artist
Working at the intersection of Science and Art to investigate processes and transform how we think, feel, and understand.

About Me
I'm Julieta Arco, a concept-driven artist working at the intersection of Science and Art. Born in Argentina, my path began in dance and the visual arts, learning through movement and the senses. Later, I turned to engineering and scientific research, learning through evidence and method. The two ways of knowing have grown together into an integrated practice: Data Studio.
Within Data Studio, three lines develop the method in different directions: Data Canvas, dedicated to the painting process; Data Makeup, to the practice of makeup; and Data Dance, an ongoing collaboration on the Tango dancing process.
Alongside this research, I continue to make my own work — paintings and series concerned with perspective, realities, and the translation of the invisible into the visible. Through workshops, I guide others through the same conceptual process that drives my own work.
You can explore my work or get in touch. I'm always happy to meet curious minds.

Foundations
Each side of this practice has depth on its own. The scientific side has been shaped by years of generating and analysing data — working with statistical methods, system dynamics, and natural proxies. The artistic side has been shaped by a path through dance, performance, and visual practice. The integration is not metaphorical; it draws on both.
Background & Education
I have formal training in both Science and Art. For scientific publications and research, visit my LinkedIn. For the artistic work, explore the Portfolio.
